IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THESE INTERPRETATIONS DO NOT REPLACE THE READING OF THE BIBLE BUT MERELY PLACE VARIOUS MATTERS IN THE CORRECT CONTEXT AND HIGHLIGHT VERY IMPORTANT POINTS!!

MOST IMPORTANTLY, THROUGHOUT THE BIBLE, JEHOVAH GOD ONLY “GIVES” US WHAT WE AS HUMANS “NEED” TO KNOW ABOUT HIM, HIS INTENTIONS, HIS PLANS AND HIS DESIRES!!

EXODUS Chapter 02

A very brief interpretation of Chapter 02 will follow:

The Child Moses on the Nile

This Chapter begins with the birth of Moses and how his mother hid him for 3 months and then placed him in the safety of an “ark” amongst the bulrushes of the river.

Further, how he was found by Pharaoh’s daughter and eventually unknowingly reared by his own mother who was paid by Pharaoh’s daughter to do so.

Verse 10 states “And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.”

Moses killed an Egyptian that was beating a Hebrew and buried him; the next day two Hebrews asked him why he had done wrong and slain a fellow Egyptian; Moses then knew that his deed was known.

As a result Pharaoh wanted Moses to be killed, but Moses fled to the land of Midian.

In Midian Moses assisted the seven daughters of a priest when they were chased away by shepherds while trying to give their sheep water.

Moses was eventually invited by Reuel, the priest, to live with them due to his kindly act; Moses also then took Zipporah, one of the daughters of Reuel for a wife and they had a son named Gershom.

Meanwhile, the Israelites were suffering severely in Egypt and JEHOVAH GOD, remembering his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, felt kindly towards them.

My next Post should cover EXODUS: Chapter 3
