The question that could be asked: Is if it is really necessary to discuss this topic?

Virtually from the age when slight understanding is possible by children raised in a good family, the value and importance of honesty is impressed on the child’s mind. So, why this discussion?

Satan has been ousted out of Heaven forever and ever, and is violently angry. Satan, however, is wily and super intelligent. He has managed to virtually destroy the fine line between honesty and dishonesty. In all fairness, and for the sake of peace, is the “little white lie” not absolutely necessary? If in discussion with the vast majority of humans, and the avoiding of mentioning religion, ask them the above question. Jehovah God has a definite clear-cut view. A lie is a lie!

An obnoxious attitude is not required when a person tries avoid dishonesty as far as is humanly possible. A quiet respecting attitude can be utilised in trying to assure others of your honesty. “When humanly possible”, as mentioned above, seems to leave leeway for the acceptance that a lie can be excusable. This is so, but Jehovah God will absolutely know how far you are, or were being tested. With a gun held against your head, a lie would most probably be told.

This is where accurate Bible knowledge comes in. This knowledge is not required to impress anyone, not even Jehovah God Himself, as He already knows what your innermost heart is desiring. This knowledge tells you about Jehovah God, His purposes and mainly about His qualities. Jehovah God is, however, extremely happy when you take in accurate knowledge about Him, His Son, Jesus, and His impending Kingdom in it’s entirety, and also that He knows that you are doing it for the right reasons!

When employed by an earthly boss, salary is negotiated. Also, terms of employment are laid out. So if you are employed, and willingly or not, do your duties excellently, you are reimbursed.

Now it comes to Jehovah God being your Boss. What is the difference? The rewards of your excellent performance of Jehovah God’s will is also thoroughly outlined, and you will receive the promised reward. A further excellent advantage is that you will want to, and really willingly, do Jehovah God’s will, and find great joy in doing it as well.

The difference: You do not have to know your earthly boss, and he most probably would prefer it that way, especially as kindness is often seen to be weakness on this present earth. And, more often than not, kindness is abused.

Your Heavenly “Boss” desires you to know as much as it is humanly possible about Him. His business is not only for His benefit. He is prepared to attach Himself to you as a Father. Your best interests are foremost in His heart. Your workload will be so enjoyably acceptable that you will strive to the perfection that your Heavenly “Boss” can adorn you with. Appreciation of your achievements will burst your heart with sheer satisfaction. The work that you performed under perfect supervision, turned out perfectly, as it always did, and always will do, into eternity.

You have attained perfection in paradise working conditions, but still the meaning of the words stress, bad feelings, covetous and many other words with negative implications do not come to mind, and if they ever did, you would not really know their true meaning. Your Heavenly “Boss” has the ability to implement these conditions.

When the employment conditions were discussed with your Heavenly “Boss”, the conditions seemed very demanding. You had to give of your time, which would cut down on your profit making projects, as well as your entertainment. And also, you would lose most of your worldly friends and associates.

Then you read the “Employer’s” Manual, the Holy Bible.

You were going to replace your erstwhile friends and acquaintances with truly brotherly loving “family”. You were going to know what exactly your reward would be, and that the period was not going to be measured in years or centuries, but eternal.

The change from the “loose” behavioural pattern was not a necessary evil, but a desired personality change. The latest worldly expression of: “do unto others as they will do unto you, but do it first” will become a fact that you will realise was what helped to add to the world’s misery, and your misery as well.

To go into more detail would be laborious, and unnecessary. It will suffice that accurate Bible knowledge will prove that your Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, has to implement these changes, as He knows that it is the only method that will ensure that you live in paradise conditions on this earth forever.

The Foundation of this Paradise is built on LOVE FIRSTLY, BUT ALSO ON HONESTY. The Bible states that JEHOVAH GOD CANNOT LIE!

Let us now see what God’s Word, the Holy Bible States about Honesty:

Exodus 18:21
But you yourself should select out of all the people capable men, fearing God, trustworthy men, hating unjust profit; and you must set these over them as chiefs over thousands, chiefs over hundreds,  chiefs over fifties and chiefs over tens. (Honesty a major priority in Jehovah God’s eyes.)
Proverbs 15:27
The one making unjust profit is bringing ostracism upon his own house, but the hater of gifts is the one that will keep living.
Isaiah 30:10  & 11
10 who have said to the ones seeing, ‘YOU must not see,’ and to the ones having visions, ‘YOU must not envision for us any straightforward things. Speak to us smooth things; envision deceptive things. 11. Turn aside from the way; deviate from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease just on account of us.'” (Here dishonesty is subtly introduced on many occasions, although often directly as a threat. It will not always be easy to comply, but prayers and accurate knowledge are fearsome weapons that can and will assist.)
Luke 1:3
I resolved also, because I have traced all things from the start with accuracy, to write them in logical order to you, most excellent The·oph´i·lus, (Accuracy in documenting.)
Luke 22:53
While I was with YOU in the temple day after day YOU did not stretch out YOUR hands against me. But this is YOUR hour and the authority of darkness.”
John 14:17
the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither beholds it nor knows it. YOU know it, because it remains with YOU and is in YOU. (Take note – the truth must be ingrained in you. This does not happen or come automatically, you have to work hard and install it. We also see that there is no truth in the world as it is in human nature to shun truth.)
Romans 2:15
They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused. (Here faith is imperative, and the fighting off of doubt essential. You can want to do Jehovah God’s will, and fight off the evil thoughts that flip into your mind without your desire. The more you become involved with Jehovah God’s ideals, the easier it should become to fight off the “arrows of Satan”.)
Romans 2:21 & 22
21 do you, however, the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself? You, the one preaching “Do not steal,” do you steal? 22. You, the one saying “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You, the one expressing abhorrence of the idols, do you rob temples? (It is important that you are who you appear to be. You must stand out as the quiet representation of a child of God. The word “quiet” here used, is indicative of seeing how you behave, and not being told by you how good and kind and Christian you are.)
Ephesians 6:1 – 18
1 Children, be obedient to YOUR parents in union with [the] Lord, for this is righteous: 2. Honour your father and [your] mother”; which is the first command with a promise: 3. That it may go well with you and you may endure a long time on the earth.”. . . 4. And, YOU, fathers, do not be irritating YOUR children, but go on bringing them up in the discipline and mental-regulating of Jehovah. 5. YOU slaves, be obedient to those who are [YOUR] masters in a fleshly sense, with fear and trembling in the sincerity of YOUR hearts, as to the Christ, 6 not by way of eye-service as men pleasers, but as Christ’s slaves, doing the will of God whole-souled. 7. Be slaves with good inclinations, as to Jehovah, and not to men, 8 for YOU know that each one, whatever good he may do, will receive this back from Jehovah, whether he be slave or freeman. 9. Also, YOU masters, keep doing the same things to them, letting up on the threatening, for YOU know that the Master of both them and YOU is in the heavens, and there is no partiality with him. 10. Finally, go on acquiring power in [the] Lord and in the mightiness of his strength. 11. Put on the complete suit of armour from God that YOU may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil; 12 because we have a wrestling, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places. 13. On this account take up the complete suit of armour from God, that YOU may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after YOU have done all things thoroughly, to stand firm. 14. Stand firm, therefore, with YOUR loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and with YOUR feet shod with the equipment of the good news of peace. 16. Above all things, take up the large shield of faith, with which YOU will be able to quench all the wicked one’s burning missiles. 17. Also, accept the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, that is, God’s word, 18 while with every form of prayer and supplication YOU carry on prayer on every occasion in spirit. And to that end keep awake with all constancy and with supplication in behalf of all the holy ones, (All the above Scriptures should be engraved on your memory, and you should make an effort to glance at them frequently, as this is Jehovah God’s proven way of ensuring an honest and safe life. You will be safe from Satan the Devil.)
1 Timothy 1:3 – 5
Just as I encouraged you to stay in Eph´e·sus when I was about to go my way into Mac·e·do´ni·a, so I do now, that you might command certain ones not to teach different doctrine, 4 nor to pay attention to false stories and to genealogies, which end up in nothing, but which furnish questions for research rather than a dispensing of anything by God in connection with faith. 5. Really the objective of this mandate is love out of a clean heart and out of a good conscience and out of faith without hypocrisy. (The basis of this writing was to maintain integrity and honesty, and not to be misled away deviously from this honesty.)
2 Timothy 2:15
Do your utmost to present yourself approved to God, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of the truth aright. (Just a nudge to remember that Jehovah God approves honesty.)
2 Timothy 3:13 – 17
13 But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled. 14. You, however, continue in the things that you learned and were persuaded to believe, knowing from what persons you learned them 15 and that from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through the faith in connection with Christ Jesus. 16. All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. (The above Scriptures are indicative of how earnestly Jehovah God is warning persons to stay on the proven straight and narrow, and cling to the true faith, the source of which you are convinced is from Jehovah God alone. The underlying theme in the Bible is based on truth and honesty.)
2 Timothy 4:2 – 4
2 preach the word, be at it urgently in favourable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand,  exhort, with all long-suffering and [art of] teaching. 3. For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. (A time is spoken of, and it is without doubt that it is this present time that we are living in. You either have honesty or dishonesty, and we can see that dishonesty prevails. Sexual activity between partners of the same sex is accepted in many churches. Appropriate clothing in attending church is not required. The lauding of their false god is done with mostly loud and obnoxious music. The infidelity between married persons is ignored. The list is long, and there are most probably many other goings on that are not so openly practised. There always has been wrongdoings in the churches, but it was at least not done so openly. The fact that it can be done so openly is that there is quiet consent among the other members, and as previously discussed, those members are therefore just as guilty. The attitude of most of the religious people today is that Jehovah God has importance in their lives, but He is happy that they can decide what is right for them to do, it fits in with the glorious Human Rights Bill that has been instituted by religion and the earthly authorities. What is necessary for them to understand is that they only have two choices: Do His will willingly, or be destroyed by what “tickles” your ears.)
Titus 1:2
upon the basis of a hope of the everlasting life which God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting, (Can you see the importance of honesty, even Jehovah God CANNOT lie, so why not endeavour to avoid all forms of dishonesty.)
Titus 1:9 – 11
9 holding firmly to the faithful word as respects his [art of] teaching, that he may be able both to exhort by the teaching that is healthful and to reprove those who contradict. 10. For there are many unruly men, profitless talkers, and deceivers of the mind, especially those men who adhere to the circumcision. 11. It is necessary to shut the mouths of these, as these very men keep on subverting entire households by teaching things they ought not for the sake of dishonest gain. (A very serious warning about what the fruits of dishonesty can cause. Entire households will be eternally destroyed. Definitely serious enough.)
Philemon 14
But without your consent I do not want to do anything, so that your good act may be, not as under compulsion, but of your own free will. (Cultivate honesty, and your free will to serve Jehovah God will follow.)
James 5:12
Above all things, though, my brothers, stop swearing, yes, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath. But let YOUR Yes mean Yes, and YOUR No, No, so that YOU do not fall under judgement. (If you are known to be a honest person, then those who know you, know your yes means yes, and no means no.)
1 John 3:18
Little children, let us love, neither in word nor with the tongue, but in deed and truth. (Do not say: “I am honest, just be honest, and in this world you will soon stand out, as honesty is virtually obsolete.)
1 John 3:20 & 21
20 as regards whatever our hearts may condemn us in, because God is greater than our hearts and knows all things. 21. Beloved ones, if [our] hearts do not condemn [us], we have freeness of speech toward God; (If you sincerely wish to converse with Jehovah God, then you must free yourselves from self-doubt, but also ensure that you are really sincere, or building your faith through accurate Bible knowledge, so as to achieve this sincerity. Jehovah God is always available to be approached, but ensure that you know your place, and fully respect Jehovah God’s position.)
Revelation 2:2
‘I know your deeds, and your labour and endurance, and that you cannot bear bad men, and that you put those to the test who say they are apostles, but they are not, and you found them liars. (If you are not dishonest, you can never be caught out to be a liar. Honesty is a very good policy.)
